Monster Genetics is a little simulation game I've been working on for the past month. It's pretty bare bones at the moment, but I thought people might be interested in trying it out. Currently, it's more of a game that you watch rather than play; think of it like an ant farm. For more information, check out the readme.

@KS I guess they're only up on the server temporarily. Well, here it is: pastebin.com/UF9Gxs9B

I finally went back and ascended in vanilla NetHack for the first time. I'll probably take a break from NetHack now: alt.org/nethack/userdata/M/Mis

Int the middle of the night, and I'm looking at this blog that pairs David Bowie looks with sea slugs: bowiebranchia.tumblr.com/

Also, NetHack 3.6.1 just got officially released on alt.org, and people are racing to get the first ascension, which is pretty exciting: alt.org/nethack/

I ascended for the first time in xNetHack, which is one of my favorite NetHack variants. It's worth playing if you like vanilla NetHack but want some quality-of-life improvements: hardfought.org/userdata/M/Mise

In my libtcod game experiment, I had a bug where monsters would eat stairs if they got hungry

I very much appreciate people who give strangers sincere and friendly compliments (not to be confused with catcalling)

I just finished writing ~3000 words for a paper in a day, and my spirit has left my body

I've been playing around with libtcod lately, and it's really nice

On my short walk this morning, I was visited by a lizard, a bird, and a squirrel. The squirrel let me get close enough to say hi before they scurried up a tree. It was a good walk

NetHack shenanigans

After getting amnesia, I took off all my clothes (in case of destroy armor) and read an unknown scroll at an altar. The scroll burst into flames, angering a god who threw lightning at me. I barely survived, but while I was hastily putting my armor back on, the priest came over and finished me off

probably counts as uspol

@revenant Many actual soldiers credit the movie and his performance in it as part of why they joined the military, supporting the hypothesis that it's very difficult or impossible to make anti-war media without also glamorizing war

Good morning, everyone. I hope you all have a lovely day
