I've been almost no contact with my parents and siblings for over 6 months now. Talking is frightening and hard and every time they call or text I freeze up and hide away for reasons I can't understand or find a root for. But my dad still sends me picture of bees and other bugs he takes in the backyard. He's good at it and I appreciate those.

Should be able to start cutting Swiss chard and kale soon though. Want my greens

Had a bit of a rough start to the growing season, honestly. Early season crops like radishes got demolished by birds, and most of my greens didn't sprout or went straight to bolting and never made much foliage. Nice to finally be harvesting veggies. Garlic scapes and strawberries!

Be nice if everything sucked less. But things won't magically suck less on their own.

I'm gonna change my car's oil and then spend as much of the day as possible gardening until thunderstorms make me go inside.
