Going from Twitter to Mastodon is like leaving a loud party to hang out on the stoop with the other misfits and I like it but I don't quite know how to act 👀

I publish on InfoSec.Exchange because my profession has subsumed my entire identity

This Thanksgiving, I’m thankful for all of you helpers.

I’m thankful for the people who have the spark to step in as bystanders and make a change when something isn’t quite fair or just.

I am thankful for the people who invest time and effort in making better community spaces like this one, as well as the conferences and meetups we love.

I am thankful for the people who challenge my comfort zone to tell me about inequity in the world, about my privilege, and who challenge me to grow and be a better human - even when it is hard.

I am thankful for the people who have expanded my worldview and helped me see the scope, variation, and beauty of humanity.

I am thankful for the people who remember to tell others they are valued and cared for.

I’m thankful for the people who make life more fun, and make people laugh on the hard days.

Finally, I’m thankful for the kindness of the community here, and your willingness to see me as a human with foibles, wants, and flaws-and not as a social media page.
