someone running linux just asked me how to run a shell script and i'm pretending to have gone idle because i cant deal with this rn
@typhlosion the worst part is i've never been wrong when doing this
it's literally always been something containing the words "i get an error when i" with no further clarification as to what error
asking "what issue are you having" and then immediately typing "be more specific than that" before they've finished responding because sometimes you can just tell
on a related note, starting a video game on a laptop that is far past its lifespan is an exercise in patience
doing extremely mundane shit for other people is great idle work
like, mundane shit for other people who are on the internet
like someone wanted someone to literally join a tf2 game they were in and play engineer for them and i just was like "well i have nothing better to do"
@typhlosion just have it so you can pull the slider's edges to be longer so it isn't obvious until you misclick
tabbing back into mastodon and seeing a post in your notifications for 5 seconds and then disappear 😶
@Elizafox honestly id just use the web interface at this point because theres so many odd bugs with some mobile clients that really fuck
