this is so hard to listen to after hearing wow wow so many times

Show thread

you can summon me from about a mile away by playing the pc speaker beeps from the intro to 8088 MPH like some sort of horse whistle

@blackle

mov ah,0x53
mov al,0x07
mov bx,0x0001
mov cx,0x03
int 0x15

this should theoretically shut systems off from bios
i have heard multiple reports that it just
doesnt
for some reason

@blackle i mean ive been having an issue where plugging in two hard drives causes the entire boot manager to just freeze until i unplug one

frankly im just using uefi because i want to see how well it works
because i mean, if it wasn't in one specific laptop then it's still doing better than BIOS, where there's so many standards you'd have to write a trilogy just to get all of them

thankfully it restored from defaults but like still Whyyyy

me: "well i guess i'll try this example application for uefi."
[plugs usb into laptop, tries to boot it, black screen]
me: "...why isn't anything happening"
[reboots]
laptop: "your boot manager variables are corrupt"
me: "OH"

a livestream that connects to random IP cameras
traffic cam cam

a livestream that randomly picks other livestreams and streams one livestream's audio over another's video

@soft_chomps@glitch.social yeah no youtube really likes the idea of people using its livestreams for nongaming and music is nongaming and youtube likes music too

okay so if you made a neural network try to play music and keep playing sound sequences that make people talk in chat more would it trend to making its own music or would it just play the first few bars of All Star over and over

@blackle i was going to suggest making a neural network just spam soundblaster midi sounds until it found sounds that made people respond but then it loops back around to being ""interesting"" to ""people"" again

mood: make a youtube stream that just plays a selection of 6 bach midis on loop, get it recommended to every single person using youtube ever no matter how much they click "Not Interested" or try to ignore it

Re: MP3: As we all know, something is dead as soon as its original creator can no longer exclusively make money off it. This is why "Romeo and Juliet", "Peter Pan", and the collected works of David Bowie are no longer performed or played in any form. It's just facts.
