Adobe Flash's End Of Life has been announced - end of 2020. https://blogs.adobe.com/conversations/2017/07/adobe-flash-update.html
While a part of me is hailing the fact that this will be gone and dead, I'm very concerned about the longevity of digital media archives. Flash was very important in the web during the 2000's and Adobe doesn't seem to have announced they will make the format open source so there's a possibility that Flash media can still be preserved.
