question for all you tech-savvy folks out on my feed:
is it feasible to run a mastodon instance over a network w/o port forwarding? like, just over a LAN?
in my head there is an angel and a demon fighting forever. one's name is "self-preservation and desire to not get in trouble with employer" and the other is named "rent a locker at the college to host a secret mastodon server over the college's LAN on a broken laptop"
video card is garbo though so i probably can't play much besides like, minimum settings teamfort
my girlfriend likes video games so im setting up steam on my laptop for her to play + a virtualbox so i can code in the corner.
