if you can afford to keep your pledges with the added fees, please do. maybe talk to people to see if there are similar ways to support them outside patreon; I had a good conversation with one of the creators I support, & they're thinking of alternatives, but that's not an option for every creator.

if you can't afford to keep your pledges and you have to lower or cancel them, please let patreon know the impact of their change. it's their fault, not yours.

I was already really pushing it with the amount of money I've been giving through patreon
I can't really afford to give any more
I really need to find alternatives to supporting the artists, creators, & other ppl on patreon I care about

I made a mistake with the patreon math and I'm agonizing over it so I should probably just go to sleep

ugh the amount of money I am giving through patreon will go up up by over $25 with these new changes and that's pretty significant

managed to write about 600 words… that's pretty good, considering my body's health at the moment.

can I work for someone who pays me in lego instead of real money and also the work consists of writing the same lego fanfiction I would write anyway

im really interested in using the internet to bring back barter economies. sure, maybe the person selling the laptop you want doesn't want what you have to offer, but with the internet, you can set up a trade with someone who is offering what the laptop person wants; with sufficient technology, even if you're 100 steps removed from the person with the laptop, you could set up the trade that same day

if you don't buy food or rent with it it's fake money. moving on
