We love mastodon and ActivtyPub. However, this is your irregular reminder that bsky.social implements the AT protocol and is also federated.
The bsky.social instance is the biggest instance, yes, but it is more than possible to host your own. Please spread out on ATP, just as has been done by everyone on AP, we implore you.
Also, side note: Mastodon is not the only AP server out there, it happens to be very common, but there are alternatives that will federate with Mastodon, and every other AP compatible service. (Notable ones are PeerTube and Sharkey.)

I will happily high five anyone that convinces me to not instantly fume every time I think about bluesky
lol am I like over-designing this? π
I need a way to test this but I don't have a Mastodon server for testing. Don't really want to send random test reports to other instance admins π¬
Not on dev site yet, still on my local dev. #PhanpySocialDev
OK, might as well. #introduction time again!
I'm eblu! I do #GraphicDesign and/or #GameDev sometimes whenever I'm not procrastinating on it (pretty sure I'm #AuDHD). I also dabble in fun little doodles and music every now and then, though I wouldn't call myself a serious contender in those fields just yet.
I've been using Mastodon on and off since about 2018 but only really got into gear around 2021-2022. It's been a learning experience, and I'm going to be the first to admit that it's got some pretty glaring flaws, but I haven't loved a social network as much as the Fediverse, so I'm happy to be here!
(alsoβplease don't be alarmed by the memes all over my account. these are normal and you'll understand the jokes eventually)
@eblu This is a post about the reply culture on Mastodon. See, there's a problem where nerds get onto posts and pedanticall- gets caned off-stage
they/them
Computer science nerd. Furry. I like software engineering. I know Java, Lua, Python, and enough of C/C++ to hate them. I am currently learning Rust, and I am loving every minute of it so far.
