@RoseExotico @ActionRetro the Ouya controller is weird because (like everything else about the system) it's not actually a BAD controller, it's just whoever designed it fundamentally misunderstood the assignment

like leaving off Start and Select-type buttons cripples it for the vaunted "you can run all your favorite retro games via emulation" selling point they liked to hammer

it's amazing how leaving off all of two buttons makes it only marginally more usable than a Fisher-Price toy

@RoseExotico @ActionRetro still a better controller (and more sensible labels) than Ouya

@ActionRetro @mos_8502 it might actually be worse than the D-Pad on my old beloved Gravis Gamepad USB, which would be a feat

@ActionRetro i actually get a lot of mileage these days out of a Razer Kishi strapped to a modern smartphone with Steam Link installed

i mean yes this technically means the phone itself is not running the game, it's my computer at home, but I get SHOCKINGLY low latency over mobile data

@paigerduty it's painful to look at. like this photo i once saw taken at a store where they put inventory tags on the Pokemon cards

the kind meant for clothing, with a pin driven through the product

Boss made a dollar
| made a dime
That was a poem
From a simpler time.

Now boss makes a thousand And gives us a cent
While he's got employees Who can't pay the rent.

So when boss makes a million And the workers make jack That's when we strike
And take our lives back.

The efforts that NBCUniversal has made to undermine these strikes and punish strikers are the most underhanded and sleazy across the whole AMPTP.

Barring a call to boycott, however, there doesn’t appear to be any way for the public who are supporting the unions to send a message to NBCUniversal that we see what they’re doing and we don’t like it, except to keep exposing them. So consider this exposure, share if you’re inclined. #UnionStrong /end

@silvereagle honestly this is something i really love about the Steam Deck, it's putting Linux into more people's hands and providing an impetus for developers to bridge the gap between Windows and Linux for everyday users

I dreamt a three legged dog was chasing a three legged alpaca through a vast cornfield that surrounded my home.

@andwhyisit there's a good book i've read with that title, it's about the foundations of modern digital security and has nothing to do with ridiculously stupid electronic scams

(side note, i know it's a mouthful letter count-wise but i look at "Denjuu" and "Electrobeast" springs to mind XD)

Again, DO NOT ACCEPT ANY OFFERS FROM US PRODUCTION COMPANIES. They are trying to use you as strike breakers, and you will end up barred from the industry once they drop you after the strike is over. #WGAStrike #SAGAftraStrike #Solidarity

History won't know what to do with us

@Radical_EgoCom@kolektiva.social the only person in this whole fiasco i feel sorry for is the kid

literally dragged along against his will to satisfy his father's ego

i mean yeah he probably would have grown up to become another sick and twisted billionaire but this is a reminder on top of everything else that THE RICH AND POWERFUL SEE THEIR CHILDREN AS PERSONAL BELONGINGS

just a whole frickin' human dragged down into the depths as funeral goods

@Radical_EgoCom@kolektiva.social he's not just an insult to Trogdor, he's a moron who doesn't know it's "consummate V's"

Aw geez, so I hate to ask this but..our toilet busted and it's $170!

And while i'm working on commissions and should have more than $170 to my name, soon, it's still kind of a financial kick in the nards!

So uh, if you got a couple spare bucks and like my stuff, I do have a kofi!!

to be clear this helps!! But it's not life or death
