it's kind of sad watching everyone panic over airborne hantavirus. like, I'm already taking COVID precautions, so yet another deadly/debilitating virus circulating in the air doesn't change a thing on my end.
but the good news is: it's never too late to start masking!
@YKantRachelRead god this is just activating that same anxiety I had when COVID was first being reported on, already looking at stocking up on more ffp3 masks just in case
@Atatra funnily enough, I haven't been feeling anxious about it, because I'm already about as isolated as I reasonably can be from airborne pathogens - and I have been for years now. same as with the bird flu scare last year, it's just more background noise in the already existent "it's not safe to share unfiltered air with unknown people" state of affairs.
@YKantRachelRead unfortunately i live in a house with like 10 people, and my dad stopped masking within 3 months of covid 19 hitting the uk, and he just started a new job in a school. if he brings something home it will mean isolating in my wife and i's bedroom and hoping it doesn't kill any of my family.
