Are there still any Android phones worth getting if I want a phone that actually lasts or do I have to bite the bullet and finally switch to an iPhone? Looking at Android phone ratings rn it looks like if I want a good phone I have to choose between Pixel with their never-ending jank and Samsung with loads of spyware.

(I know fairphone exists but I don't earn enough to be able to justify that. I still need a good performance to cost ratio)

@njion i can only really recommend the motorola g84 I've got right now, my criteria were an oled screen, physical sim and sd slots, and a 3.5mm jack, it's been entirely useable without being flashy for me

@Atatra That's my current phone and I've been very disappointed with it. The lens coating started degrading after less than a year, the software has been getting more bloated with every passing quarter and now my volume buttons are failing. Plus the budget OLED screen has a couple annoying issues out of the box

@njion ouch, that sucks, i've had a lot of luck with mine and uninstalled basically all of the motorola supplied apps, but i can understand your frustrations
