I really really want to delete my Facebook account, but that would mean getting even less info about queer events, how to get trans healthcare, stuff like that

okay I deactivated it

at least that will make me less anxious about missing things, because now people know that I'm not actually there

and I feel less pressure to be A Good Internet Citzen and at least check fb once in a while

@maunzikation Make sure you deactivated it the right way! The easier to find option pretty much just logs you off and hides your account from everyone else. Your account is there, and you're still tracked.

The more difficult to find option actually deletes your account for good (supposedly).

@Morgan I chose the non-permanent one on purpose, because I'm not sure if I can do without some of the groups I'm in. It's really just for feeling better. (And I think privacy badger is blocking fb's omnipresent tracking bs anyway :)

@maunzikation Ah, that's understandable. n.n

Good idea with PB too.

@Morgan it's so sad/annoying, but some info on local trans stuff is only there and nowhere else. and i couuld always just make a new account if i need that again, but i'm a bit anxious about not getting someone to add me or smth (…of course these groups are secret, which is good, but… well)
