gun thing, pol, w/e

short version of what i said on twitter:

ban all guns. yes even those ones

gun thing, pol, w/e

long ver: anything except 'take away all guns, literal devices made for the express purpose of harming or killing people', is victim blaming. "well, not enough security": victim blaming. "no good guy with a gun": victim blaming

get rid of every single fuckin gun

gun thing, pol, w/e

the two outcomes of "but, security" are either

a. you secure everywhere, so everyone has to walk through a metal detector and patdown to do literally fucking anything.

b. you dont, and your murderer just sets up camp across the street and rains hellfire on people who had to play security theater. see also: october, vegas

cant wait for the "they didnt properly secure their party with guards and a body scanner" when a fight breaks out at little junior's birthday party and some drunk asshole opens fire on someone else

gun thing, pol, w/e

im just screaming into the void because ~nothing matters~

america, where we get to wonder what life is like in countries where you dont have to worry if some random person is carrying a weapon and one impolite exchange away from deciding it's time to use it because (checks notes) they lost at a video game

side note: "mental health checks before guns!": go fuckus yourselfus

people who murder people aren't mentally ill (in most cases) and its just another excuse. take the guns away from everyone.

@Xkeeper on this, don't they also oppose much background checking at all? Like, there's a known relationship between domestic violence and gun violence, but… ???
