Dear companies I still have to deal with over the phone: Please
* have a callback function - or even better let me schedule a call via your website - you know, the one you keep directing me to.
* allow me to turn off on-hold music
I wouldn't be waiting on the phone if I could accomplish what I needed to do another way.
@voltagex also if you’re going to insist on hold music, don’t occasionally interrupt it to tell me my call is important, i’m still on hold, or anything else short of an actual human on the line
at least that way i can only half pay attention until the music stops
@TheIronFox I am *all for* automation of this - but you shouldn't need a running VoIP call until both parties are ready.
