Autism question

So it seems to me like I'm most likely autistic but there is one thing that makes me kinda confused. I keep hearing that you have to have symptoms since you were a child, but I can't really remember having any except sensory issues.

It's not like I got more symptoms as I got older necessarily, but a lot of the symptoms I have now would seem normal for a child I think, I just didn't grow out of them I guess.

Making "weird" movements or repeating topics or words isn't too weird for a child I think, especially since I am indifferent to eye contact and I liked to talk to other children so the "obvious" signs weren't there. Having sensory meltdowns is also not too uncommon for NT children I think, or at least something that looks similar from an outside perspective (tantrums).

Is this normal?

@Some_Person all of what you're describing sounds like a pretty typical experience for autistic folks, yes. if you'd like further clarification feel free to ask
