@stackingstones @autistikai thanks for your replies! I was just not sure because my mum (who is a doctor) told me that I can't have autism because I didn't have symptoms as a child, but also I think she is a bit biased. I wasn't sure if she was right or just in denial.

@Some_Person @stackingstones@todon.nl it's a pretty common occurrence for parents to be oddly resistant to the idea that their kids are autistic, even if they're more than willing to acknowledge and accommodate their autistic child's needs. i suspect there's some kind of disconnect between what autism is like and the actual word autism
