questions for plurals

when talking to/about specific plurals should you generally refer to them with plural pronouns? also should you interact with plurals like you would a singular person or should you cater your behavior specifically if you know you're talking to someone different? (eg; i know this personality is more shy so i try to be softer w them). or does all this depend on the plural? and if so, is it polite to ask ppl on an individual basis?? sry i hope these q's aren't insensitive ahh

re: questions for plurals

@myconidiosyncracy i can't answer all of this but the way it's been explained in my general direction is plurality is "multiple people sharing the same body/headspace" which i would interpret as more "treat them as separate people" if possible?

also the word i think you're looking for is 'system'. as in, a system is the plural group of [usually the body] + all the [headmates/system members/people] in it

@autistikai ahh wow thank you. i tried to look up terms so that i could word these q's better but in a shocking turn of events, psychology and psychology articles are awful and useless

re: questions for plurals

@myconidiosyncracy i have enough plural friends to have either absorbed or been directly given most of the information about terms & such that much at least i can Definitely help with

re: questions for plurals

@autistikai i want to be respectful when talking to folx but like. without some base knowledge it's hard to even ask q's with out sounding..... idk. accidentally being insensitive or like i'm sensationalizing it. wish it was easier to find info on neurodivergent stuff that was actually from the neurodiverse ppl in question

re: questions for plurals

@myconidiosyncracy it's a common problem, and i think as long as you're coming from a place of actively Trying to be respectful and such it's not really a huge deal (on the individual end)—like, we all know the resources are hard to find. if you're serious about wanting to learn nobody's going to fault you for not Already Knowing it?

that said, there needs to be more better resources about all of this
