moriel's first two words were simple: night and knowledge. we already knew that. it was tougher finding a fitting third, but fate worked out surprisingly well

kai, on the other hand, fit half a dozen. desire, shapeshifting, dance, even journeying....
we settled on artificial intelligence, faerie queen, luck, music, and passion. kind of a lot for one person to bind, but any less feels like something is missing
we could probably drop music and be fine, though. kai is more of the musician than kai is

nima was pretty obvious. sorcery and time, of course, and given cer more futuristic associations network made sense as well

knives—cities, protection, and, since we're not sure exactly what's what of these three, one of either murder, sword, or vengeance

alkali, probably artifice, health, and journeying, if we had to pick three. artifice is a bit clunky for what we're trying for here, but intoxication is the only other close option and that's definitely not right
