@boots nice! this might be what i end up doing when i eventually get around to setting up a masto dev env
@bea yeah, i personally just install i3 after that.
lightdm (the default ubuntu login manager) should automatically detect whatever you install and log you into it
@bea ah yeah, the default group for i3 (assuming you use the sourcelist they give) usually installs dmenu and a few other nice lil things by default
i personally use terminator instead of rxvt because it basically is a terminal emulator with tmux built-in (allows splitting panes via context menu, opening new tabs, etc)
