apparently my little MBR thing is now suddenly working fine until approximately 1 minute after it starts (augh)
where it then suddenly decides to jump to something on the stack (AUGH)
that isn't even on the front of the stack (WHY)

so i figured it out
apparently int 0x10/ax 0x1301, despite reading from the stack perfectly fine, decides not to ever pop these items off the stack, which i did not know, leading me to make the mistaken assumption i didnt have to pop them off
