i'm pretty sure country music is basically the opposite of every genre actually
@boots I do recording in audio, for music, and country is super profitable.
@boots There's a great quote from a rapper from back in the early 90s -- I want to say Ice T but I can't find the interview. Basically pointing out the parallels between gangsta rap and country music. Especially interesting as the 1991 advent of SoundScan data revealed overnight to a shocked industry that Americans mostly listened to rap/R&B or country music.
@boots It's super commercialized, modern pop country. Bluegrass is alright.
