It depends on how well you buy into the argument that the seat of the self is the brain. I tend to favor a more wholelistic model of consciousness, so I've come to accept that the pipedream of immortality or even preservation of my unique pattern is a bit far out there.
That being said I'll still totally do it.
Brain-sex with a computer is on my bucket list.

That's the thing I've kinda accepted as probably not happening to me. I see too much influence of the endocrine system and too much we don't understand re: lower level effects. It's like high level emulation. You might get something that possibly resembles me, it might even be better, but it won't be me. It will be my brain child.
I'm okay that I was never meant to actually be the butterfly.
