okay can someone please tell me if there's a way to stop getting notifications about a thing because all these blips are getting really annoying

two options depending on what you want
- click the little slidey tabs in the top right of a column, turn everything off for a specific notification type
- click on the "..." on the toot that's getting notifications, and click mute conversation
