Does anyone have any non-joke ideas why my 4G LTE mobile connection slows to an unusable crawl but only at my workstation?

• I'm alone in there with no wifi or PC
• it didn't used to do that
• Verizon insists no throttling
• it's happening earlier each day and for longer
• have used this same phone for 3 years (on my third battery)
• I have a gig of free space and close as many running apps as I can
• yes I try turning it off and back on again
• please help me my will to not play hooky is dying

@kelly Does it still slow down if you're outside?

@boots it immediately gets much better outside (which is just a few feet from my workstation) but that's what's weird, it keeps getting worse but not in a binary or predictable way and the building hasn't changed

@kara_dreamer @kelly ^^^^ this actually makes a ton of sense, the power supply could've broken down for whatever reason and started chucking RF

@boots @kara_dreamer okay whoa, thanks for the clue, plot thickens!:

• Phone plugged in to charger: 0.18 Mbps down 0.98 Mbps up
• Charger unplugged from outlet: 1.13 Mbps down 1.05 Mbps up
• Charger unplugged, wrapped in jacket on adjacent chair: 0.73 Mbps down 0.18 Mbps up

???
