Hey everyone, I host 3 or 4 wordpress sites on a shared host, and they run like garbage. (I know, shared hosts are garbage, I should move to a VPS or something, but that's expensive.)
Any tips on how to improve the performance of my shitty websites?
@ajr is "don't use wordpress" an option? no?
this seems like it might be helpful but I Don't Use Wordpress https://wordpress.org/plugins/p3-profiler/
@boots If I'm not using wordpress, I gotta use some other CMS. Too many non-technical users to support.
@ajr you can always try and set up one of those compiled CMSes that basically make static pages
@boots Yeah... I use Jekyll for most of my personal websites.
I haven't looked in to CMSs like that at all.
Do you know of any to recommend?

Computer Fairies is a Mastodon instance that aims to be as queer, friendly and furry as possible. We welcome all kinds of computer fairies!
