gameboy game salvage update: I successfully got something set up that builds on Windows. gave up on linux building for now
Gonna set up a nice webpage for it and maybe do a little bit of documenting and then I'll share the github with y'all
@loam Okay, so what are you doing with gameboy games?
Cause, like, relevant to my interests.
@ajr not much recently, but I made this back in 2012 and I figure I might as well put the source code out there: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XFFF8lUgWpw
@loam That's BEAUTIFUL.
The main achracter sprite is so unique and neat. The water physics are unlike anything I've seen on the gameboy, and that's really awesome. There was a real organic feel, and it looked like a lot of thought had gone in to it.
@ajr THANK U π
i definitely spent a lot of time on it.. i'd like to pick it up and keep building again but, right now i'll just be happy to get it all online π
@loam I've been trying to let go of a lot of unfinished projects that are holding me back, rn, so I understand where you're coming from.
@ajr it is probably at least the second coolest thing i've made tho.. i wanna come back to it i think
@loam A lot of the stuff I'm letting go of, I will certainly come back to.
I just need to be able to focus on the important stuff, right now.
@ajr i hear that! what are ur projects u wanna do the most?
@loam Here's a thread from last night where I'm talking about some of these things: https://cybre.space/@ajr/972293
Podcasting is the thing that appeals to me most right now.
The mBBS project seems like the most important.
Making comic books and action figures is probably the most fun.
but after that I need to get back to building my professional portfolio so I can find a GOOD_JOB
