i once pulled a gaming rig out of a dumpster and needed a new cpu for it so ordered a harvested enterprise cpu from korea for 5 dollars and it worked perfectly

Capitalism has a seriously dangerous and toxic chain of supply that expects us to turn workable equipment into trash once it has completed a single use-case, and we desperately need a better way.
