There are a lot of really poorly conceived and executed projects on the Element 14 Presents YouTube channel, like ruining a perfectly good Super Game Boy to build a not-very-good Consolised Game Boy with less features than the SGB...
The latest "Why would you ruin perfectly good retro tech for something so pointless?" Project is apparently gutting a nice G4 PPC iMac to stick a modern Intel NUC inside it.

It just feels like such a desperate bid for Content™️... but I can't be the only one who just isn't interested in a video of someone putting one thing inside something else.

I'd be impressed if you upgraded the hardware to an insane level; even if it were upgraded to an Intel CPU. That's impressive!
But this isn't Action Retro-ing it, this is just like buying a classic Mac Tower, stripping the internals, and putting a Mini ITX board inside it. Or gutting a classic console to stick a Pi inside.

@DanaTheElf you could just...3D print a replica shell or something, if you really wanted "modern kit with retro aesthetic" @_@;
