@emilygorcenski i remember being alarmed to learn that mayonnaise is a popular pizza topping in Japan but in recent years i have come to understand that Japanese mayo is a very different beast from what we have in the US
@theryusui@emilygorcenski I use kewpie mayo in my creamy mushroom sauce I make to go with steak (cook sliced mushroom in cream with the usual amount of salt and pepper, keep adding cream until the mushroom absorbs the cream, making it soft, then turn off the heat and add more cream plus the kewpie mayo at the end). It really complements the flavour of the mushroom.
