I interpret this as Apple opening up a space for an 'Apple Pencil Pro’, as this new USB-C model is very much lesser than the 5 year old Apple Pencil (2nd generation)

@theryusui @stroughtonsmith the cynical person in me says yes to this.

They want to milk their money from somewhere. It really feels like Apple are dragging their feet like a toddler because the EU told them no lightning.

I really do not believe that they could not physically fit those features in when they moved to USB-C and even if that was a possibility that they couldn't have adjusted the shape accordingly.

Case in point if they release a USB-C pro with those features
