i kind of want a full-metal keyboard. maybe parkerized gunmetal. i'm sure it would be heavy as shit. i'm sure the switches would need to be extra stiff. it'd probably cost fuck-hundred dollars. but i think about brushed metal textures and the want comes right back.
@wildweasel doing the regular keys as aluminium and the function and other keys like shift, enter, etc as steel to get a mild colour contrast would rock
@Atatra specifically the shift keys, i think, should be cut and polished walnut, with that cross hatched texture for that Colt 1911 grip panel look and feel
@wildweasel what i'd do to have access to a CNC milling machine and a laser etching machine to make this happen
