I wonder what crows think human eggs must look like.

Bird eggs are usually a similar proportion to the size of that bird's head. (Though this can vary; see kiwis. Mercy. Why.) Crows would definitely assume human eggs are most likely close to the size of human heads.

Given humans' strong tendency to build fully enclosed nests that totally hide their contents, crows would think our eggs are probably not a color for camoflauge, and not strongly pointed. Probably white, light blue, or another solid color.

@frameacloud @kistaro Stephen Jay Gould wrote a good essay about the kiwi's egg--basically it's an artifact of the kiwi having descended from much larger birds

in adapting to a niche where a smaller body was better, the egg remained the same size as it had been in the larger ancestors, because it wasn't a big enough _disadvantage_ to get selected out

it's, like...conservation of change, or something, haha. if stuff doesn't actually _hurt_ it doesn't change
