@kel@plush.city @hope @wintgenstein @garbados only that there's other ways to get high technology without mining for toxic metals. also "rare earths" (lanthanides) are generally not very toxic, although their ores (e.g. monazite) usually also have thorium in them so mining them probably is a pervasive health hazard
