none of us are equal in the eyes of cis society until not a single trans girl has starved or been raped or murdered for a long time, there is no assimilating that will save you and keep you safe forever, and sooner or later the only allies you will have are other trans women, and we will remember how you sided with the people who see us as vermin, as predators. and what precious little charity we have will rightfully be saved for our sisters who linked arms with us, not against us
