Yesterday I got an email from a disability rights org responding to my intake form.

I never filled out an intake form. An unnamed person filled it out in my name without my consent or knowledge.

They copied text from a locked venting post. They were wrong about my insurance and my health. They put all this on a form asking for accommodations like ramps or durable medical equipment.

They claimed to be asking for help for me because I'm unable to advocate for myself.

Today I got a letter from Briumvi saying they approved me for their copay assistance plan. I did not apply. The interfering ableist pos strikes again.

Here's the problem: I never once communicated with Briumvi about this plan. I don't think you can do it simply by filling out an intake form online, so did this person actually call Briumvi and impersonate me and did Briumvi actually accept that and give them access to my account?

So tomorrow I get to call Briumvi (followup to my fax because I want this shit in writing) that someone is impersonating me and might be comitting a teensy bit of fraud in my name by telling them I have only Medicaid when I don't have Medicaid at all.

I have no idea who is doing this and of course no one confessed. (But why not? They are so helpful!) This is abled help, though: impersonation and fraud.

@genXcrone I'm sorry to barge in here without knowing you, but I wanted to say I'm so sorry and deeply understand your anger at this, I've developed a quietly simmering rage from how often people assume things about my disability and make decisions for me because of fibro, and what you're going through is genuinely unacceptable

@Atatra Hello and welcome. Thank you for saying this, it helps tremendously. It sucks that so many of us know this feeling.

It's so often something we've already resesarched and know won't work for us, too, but to some people we are infants who could not know a single thing about our own experience. And then they prove their lack of wisdom by screwing up.
