The next few weeks have a lot of busy spots but will be a lot of fun even the stressful ones!

This weekend we're doing a car wash to raise funds for the youth center. And it's also the Mabon ritual. And next weekend I have some fun plans. And the weekend after is our huge gala for the youth center.

Lots of fundraising and gearing up for all the holidays.

We'll have the Halloween party for the youth center and the Thanksgiving dinner for the GSA leaders and the Thanksgiving dinner for the youth and the Christmas parade planning and the gift fair and the Christmas dinner and then we're trying to plan our first ever 4k for March/April. (The Big Gay 4K is our working title right now.)

Always lots of fun but I feel like September-April is always non-stop too πŸ˜‚! So many events!!

And then June we have Pride Fest now so really it's all year these days between all the planning meetings and solicitation calls and stuff.

But I'm so proud of our little LGBT+ youth center. We've grown so much over the past several years. When I first started volunteering with them in 2014 the most youth we had in a night was 22 - once - and now we see 40-60 every night we're open.

Camp had 28 youth and that was an entire weekend away like. Amazing.

Currently we have 2 grants but outside of those we operate solely on donations and through events like our gala thanks to people purchasing auction items which thrives off of physical donations too. Everything is volunteer and donation based. πŸ’–πŸŒˆπŸ’–πŸŒˆπŸ’–πŸŒˆ
