I always have a hard time with chats and the like - they seem to be the most sure-fire way to bring out my maximum shyness. :blobnervous:

the bun emerges from the shower, cleaner and more powerful than ever before :bun:

you know, there's this entire base of assumed knowledge that people with computer science backgrounds have. jargon, acronyms, shared history, experiences working in tech

i sometimes feel like a fish out of water. i'm self taught, don't know the "right way" to do things always, am a coding loner (not by choice, just don't connect well with tech people), and never worked in tech

someone should make me a translator so i can avoid sounding like i don't know anything lol

teach me to talk fancy

good morning :blobbunhappy:

this last night my dreams were of secret agents working through complex missions in hostile territories with their lives on the line, all for determining the most effective and community friendly ways to rework the Portland transit system :blobthinking:

it was... interesting? working for Trimet was apparently dangerous af.

I need to get better at not waiting until the moment I’m in bed getting ready to sleep before I remember to take my hormones

on that note, it’s time for this bun to pass out. have a lovely night, everyone. Y’all are beautiful :paw_fx90_thumbs_up:

the british government is doing another survey where they're asking about the experiences of intersex people. this ~might influence policy and is almost certainly already being manipulated by bad people. as i have close intersex friends who had nonconsensual surgery performed on them by the NHS as infants this is very important to me.

you can fill it out here: https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/variations-in-sex-characteristics-call-for-evidence

I'm increasingly convinced that I'm never going to unlock a single one of the Splinter Zone achievements, oof.

might fuck around and make homemade cool ranch chips sometime :blobthinking:

listening to @Scarly rattle on, infinitely and incessantly about every facet of the ActivityPub spec is slowly driving me to madness

i would be fired from any real programming job within a day or so

my comments are silly, my commit messages are questionable at best, and my processes are probably just innately flawed from the perspective of the latest Agile™ nonsense

still, tho, everything i make tends to work well for years and years without catastrophic issue

i suppose that means i must be doing something right

lamias are among the greatest things in the universe

and thus a thread about cloning myself for fun and profit progressed into lamentations about capitalism

i fucking love the fediverse :blobmelt:

four days until RE2 hits, and I am SO DAMN READY to be reminded just how easily frightened I am these days 😅

i only tune in to mastodon to see what's happening today in "The Life of Bun and Crow"

@Chel though given that my parents routinely beat Scarly and I at -any- competitive board game we introduce them to...

I guess I should be surprised? They’re fucking brutal at dominion and ticket to ride

legit, since getting Mario Party on my switch and playing it like six times, I ain’t won a single time

even my mom beat me 🤦‍♀️

I wish I had a couple Chel clones to live with, so that we could distribute the burden of spoon consuming activities and be collectively better off as a result. Not to mention added benefits, such as cooking together, having more players for Mario Kart/etc, being able to make ou— I mean, being able to watch cute cat videos together, and probably drive Scarily absolutely up a wall with our collective antics

wanted: small to size group of femfolk to shower me in attention, bring me breakfast, play Mario Party. :paw_fx90_thumbs_up:

Tragedy is knowing and realizing that you’re running out of good horror movies that you’ve not yet watched. :blobnervous:
