lgbt -, aromantic stuff, a bit long
god i'd just love if aromantic people were even so much as recognized as existing
i'm glad ace folk are getting more attention as of late, but it feels like the LGBT community as whole just ignores aromantic people, probably because our society as a whole is built on top of romance as a thing
like you think sex appeal and all that is everywhere? think about how literally every. single. fucking. piece of media. contains romance in some form or fashion. often times forced and arbitrary romance!
fuck, when aro people are recognized, they're often conflated with being asexual as well! like bro, what the fuck about me? i'm an aromantic person who's demi/gray/??? sexual, sure, but i'm still sexual to some degree! don't fucking erase my sexuality just because i'm aromantic!
on top of all this shit, the only thing that concerns LGBT people is sexual stuff, never EVER about romance. it's always about how "oh, we're so sexual!", it's never "oh, we're so romantic!"
it really does feel like y'all don't care about aromantic people, and i get it, relativistically nobody except me and 3 ants are aromantic, while everyone and their grandma is asexual.
i get it, we're not popular.
but god please stop forgetting we exist? please? at least include SOME of our concerns with talks about this kinda stuff?

if i were gonna make an indie platformer about ADHD instead of depression
- three different soundtracks playing simultaneously
- random words deleted from all text and dialogue
- while you are trying to do things suddenly a split screen view either of traumatic memories or random trivia from shitty movies appears
- when you complete a mission someone appears to yell at you about how you didnt do it right

pirating sm64, sunshine, and galaxy and playing them on emulators: $0, available forever despite nintendo's best efforts, requires only a somewhat decent pc, also gives you access to a whole world of sm64 romhacks
Plurality
Happy, helpful reminder that "plural" is like "transgender" and encompasses a whole umbrella's worth of stuff!
Literal actual distinct entities in your head? Plural!
Aspects of your personality that you anthropomorphize? Plural!
The "angel" and "devil" on your shoulders? Plural!
But most importantly: "Plural" is a label you can choose to identify with. It's not a set of rules
if someone was binary trans, but then realises they're non-binary, they're not now "less trans." it's not a step backwards in transness
equally, if someone is non-binary, that's not a stepping stone to *becoming* trans. even if they are later binary trans, there's not some sliding scale of transness they've moved further along. they were already the same amount of trans (if they personally ID'd as trans)
