Und es gibt instanzen, die auch eher themen haben, da ist die local timeline dann entsprechend zu dem thema und leute finden zu dem thema zusamm mehren.
@slooploon Das ist sicher unterschiedlich für Leute. Ich mag dass ich thematisch und von den Leuten her ein bisschen trennen kann. man kann auch einen account etwas privater machen als den anderen (z.B. durch follower bestätigen müssen und andere standard toot-sichtbarkeit).

Das hier ist mein meistgenutztes, weil ich grad hauptsächlich tech-sachen mache. Aber witches.town ist so als allgemeines ding gedacht für alles mögliche aber ohne viel tech-gebabbel was leute vllt garnicht interessiert/verstehen. Dafür allgemeines connecten und wolle und leben und so.
und der dritte, cybre Jules, weiß ich auch noch nicht.

I just wanted to say that if git feels like too much trouble right now and is keeping you from actually starting to learn python and code... maybe just focus on python and figure git out later :) You can still use the Issues in the firststeps project to talk about what you are doing, ask questions etc. And the Wiki. And look at code.
It would be sad if our choice of version control / communication platform would keep you from doing the thing!

I think there were some people on social.tchncs.de following me? Or did I just read them in some threads? Were they in the #pcode group? Well if they were they now wouldn't be able to answer me because we are no longer federating with this instance. I guess I will find out. At least I know I'm not missing people I actually know so this is ok.

@squirrel So suspend means that my followers on one of those instances (if any ^^) don't get my toots at all anymore (how could this be possible?)? Or is there just no direct exchange of toots but they can still get there after some obscure journey through mutual followers? or is there no following at all now?
Sorry, you don't have to answer all of those. I just didn't think about how all this federation works on a deeper level until now.
@squirrel If you don't mind to explain. What does "suspend" vs. "silence" mean exactly?
