covid, Easter, Christianity, quarantine violations

I've seen a couple times now (including from my immediate family) an argument that Christians must attend church despite the quarantine today because of Matthew 18:20.

You know, a single verse taken out of the context of its original passage, to twist into claiming worship only matters if it's a gathering of multiple people.

From the same people who claim the NT was written as an "inspiration" to its authors and therefore is translated through the imperfect vessel of a human being and therefore could not possibly account for things like the internet and livestreaming.

You can't argue against faith. I just hope it doesn't cause a pandemic explosion... again... like it did here in California last week.

I'm not anti-Christian; I was one for 15yr and still dig the core of it. But even within the bounds of their own doctrine this is just flat out wrong. z_z;

@trysdyn Yeaaaah, that's pretty WTF. D:

One Christian friend of mine gave Luke 4:9-12 as a counterargument to that, but yeah, I can't imagine getting a lot of super-religious people to listen to any meaningful argument. D:
