I'd gotten the idea in my head to compile a list of first RPGs on each platform and see how many of them I've played.

Compiling this list exposed some neat experimental games from the 2nd gen consoles and computers at least.

The problem becomes what constitutes an RPG, what constitutes "released" and what constitutes "for a platform". Do I count ports, etc. :P
I made a rough first pass at the "First RPG for each platform" list. My definition of RPG is a bit tighter than most and I'm sure some of this is flat out wrong.

But a lot of these are neat sounding and I kind of want to play through this list. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/19CpN_IPQtdcEqovxjWMVBCt_IMzrF_UjQ1xVXyu6WTc

(Yeah it's a google sheet, my nextcloud install doesn't have office tools)

@trysdyn “yes there’s a platform where the first RPG is eroge”

I’m surprised there’s not more than one, honestly. :p
