You know what would help? If just once recently someone took notice of my talents and noted they were beneficial for them in some manner.
I've basically been grinding for an unfeeling megacorp for a year.
I got a small giggle when I wrote a CUE file for someone from memory to fix an incomplete CD rip and they went "You wrote that BY HAND?!" but... that was a bit ago and wasn't that big a deal.
