So yesterday I came across a stream that was doing a three person FFXIV ARR speedrun. Why three and not four? I dunno. I kind of went "Huh that's weird, I wonder how they three-stack dungeons with fresh newbies and no gear"

They don't. They pull in a pug then speedrun around them.

Something about that just feels turbo-wrong to vee. :/
Of course everyone else thinks it's fine. Things like "This is the same experience you get in roulettes anyway, why are you mad?". Except it's not. The people wall-to-walling in roulettes are 80s in 510+ gear, and don't have an onus to rush aside from "I want my stones and to move on".

Someone pointed out if anything they're slowing the pug down because they're undergeared so it's fine, but I think that's worse because now you have this three-stack trying to overpull in trash gear and augh don't do that to some random pug who's just trying to play.

@trysdyn Christ, I’m just imagining getting that group on my first time through an area. Normal PUGs were bad enough about letting people watch cutscenes when I first played as it was. -_-;

Or do they instantly disband and try again if they get the “this player is new to the duty” message, which might be even worse?

@Lenalia I don't think they do that because I'm pretty sure SE would action that.

But I was just telling the story in another group of one of my first attempts at tanking getting me a 3-stack where they screamed at me to go faster because they were trying to do 1-20 speedruns, and yeah. It sucks.
