I saw a baby bunny hopping around in the grass. It's been a good day

I just released a new version of Monster Genetics. Now, you can generate fantastical descriptions of species by pressing D, and as the species evolve, so do the descriptions.

Monster Genetics is a little simulation game I've been working on for the past month. It's pretty bare bones at the moment, but I thought people might be interested in trying it out. Currently, it's more of a game that you watch rather than play; think of it like an ant farm. For more information, check out the readme.

Also, NetHack 3.6.1 just got officially released on alt.org, and people are racing to get the first ascension, which is pretty exciting: alt.org/nethack/

I ascended for the first time in xNetHack, which is one of my favorite NetHack variants. It's worth playing if you like vanilla NetHack but want some quality-of-life improvements: hardfought.org/userdata/M/Mise

In my libtcod game experiment, I had a bug where monsters would eat stairs if they got hungry

I very much appreciate people who give strangers sincere and friendly compliments (not to be confused with catcalling)

I just finished writing ~3000 words for a paper in a day, and my spirit has left my body

I've been playing around with libtcod lately, and it's really nice

On my short walk this morning, I was visited by a lizard, a bird, and a squirrel. The squirrel let me get close enough to say hi before they scurried up a tree. It was a good walk
