Phone is now (more-or-less) Google-free! Installed LineageOS minus gapps, enabled signature spoofing, and installed MicroG... :3c
@Morgan hows micro GApps? I'm currently running gappsless but it's quite difficult. Thinking of either going back because signature spoofing seems scary.
@0x3F It seems somewhat pointless, imo. The apps that can use it end up complaining about Google Play Services being outdated. As for the ones that don't use it, well, they don't use it. At least that's what it feels like.
Spoofing was super easy. I just followed this guide! The script in the guide automatically makes a backup of things beforehand, and tells you how to fix if you get a bootloop. Still, backup first to be extra safe.

I'm using KISS launcher from f-droid; seems to work pretty well.
@Morgan ahhh, that's disappointing. Seems like I will have to go back to using play services. *sigh*
Oh I meant scary from a security point of view, though it is a little intimidating to install too.
Also, which launcher are you using?
