@brennen Ah, yes! I should've mentioned. It is indeed on the same network.

noob(ish) here, in need of a little .

Can anyone lend a hand?

I've attached a screenshot of a small wall of text that I couldn't fit into a post on here. :P computerfairi.es/media/NtKRT6M

I finally have a fully functioning desktop computer!

After trying to fight my way into getting SSD caching working on Debian 9, instead, I just installed Debian 8 with the bare minimum to get caching working then upgraded to 9.

I can game again! ;n;

Anyone happen to be in the market for a Sony A7R? Only 1033 shutter actuations.

Also selling the 35mm f/2.8 Zeiss (SEL35F28Z) and 70-200mm f/4 G (SEL70200G).

Selling for £25 cheaper here, 'cos you're all great.

A7R - £750
70-200 - £750
35 - £350

Have original boxes for all of 'em.

Not interested? Boost to help them find a home. <3

@vantablack I guess I've never really seen the appeal? Idk. I don't want to be one of /those/ people that say "I don't need to get drunk to have fun", but... yeah.

Maybe some day. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Fun fact: I've never been drunk before.

@bunnylyn Okey doke~ will fling some in your general direction later, when I'm at a computer.

@bunnylyn What kind of music do you like? I might be able to suggest some. :v

a very reassuring "click"

ok so I got a new camera which has an electronic shutter mode, so no shutter sound at all...

except, the sound of the shutter is super satisfying and I don't want to turn it off

Heh. Delivery from John Lewis is being delivered by someone called John.

Riveting.

I thought Debian was supposed to be oh-so-stable and thoroughly tested, and so-on?

Debian 9 is proving to be a huge pain in the arse. Strongly considering switching distros completely, or at least rolling back to 8 'til 9 is usable.

...I didn't realise that the easily accessible option to "deactivate" your account doesn't actually deactivate it. It pretty much just turns off notifications and hides your account from everyone. Farcebook keeps your account, pictures, posts, etc indefinitely.

To properly delete your account, you need to search around.
