This isn't because MIcrosoft is somehow fundamentally nicer than Amazon - they both suck. This is not at all in support of capitalism either.
Competition at least has the potential to improve conditions for everyone, and gives streamers and viewers at least marginally more bargaining power.

Mixer has a far better CoC which is very specific and indicative of real values intended to be systemically applied, instead of vague statements designed to be weaseled out of when it's convenient (ie. Twitch and YT). This (at least in theory) makes it a safer place for marginalised people.
Not being an established outlet and Twitch fucking up gives them a privilege to make these kinds of moves.

it's key features is a sub 1 second latency streaming option and more dedicated controls for audience members to influence games streamers play.
