The scary thing about fascism is that is has an uncanny ability to hide amongst reasonable arguments. Take this video, for example :

This is cryptofascist propaganda. It primes you, the unwitting viewer, by touching upon a current frustration with the way things are today as far as online communication is concerned. And those are legitimate concerns, don't get me wrong, corporate monopolies controlling the discourse, spying on you for profit and political status quo maintenance are ALL things we should be fighting.

@FreyaManibrandr Even Eternal September and before (Only really have experience with the former, not for lack of trying) had their issues. Just... different ones. The increasing tide of people who didn't know the etiquette instead of a rejection of the idea etiquette can apply. A lack of meaningful ways to deal with trolls. (Anyone remember newsgroup Killfiles? And what it could be like if you didn't know how to make one?) The fragmentation

@FreyaManibrandr of online content into the actual internet and various limited "internet-like" services like Prodigy. (There's still some great stuff that was lost forever when those went down)
