As a test I went and tried the Nova pixel art I did awhile ago with a jumping animation. Also added boobs since Nova's supposed to have them, though not confident I'm doing it right? I don't have any intuition for that.

Even for this simple thing I'm finding out that GIMP's really not the tool for the job for pixel art animation and I can see why people go for things like Aseprite.

A very green Minecraft house. I feel like I should extend the stained glass columns out and maybe make some sort of cage bars thing? It looks nice just in the corners too.

Probably the worst football I've ever seen, but being able to chisel things sent my mind right into memeland:

Luigi: Hey Mario! Look what I made!
Mario: It's a stone Luigi. You didn't make it.
Luigi: It's a football. I chiseled it.

I cooked rigatoni and shells together and somehow the shells got stuffed into the rigatoni several times

Here's what the editor looked like at the end if anyone's interested in seeing a huge mess in Vegas. It did have some minor rendering issues but right now I've fiddled with it enough and don't care enough.

So my phone's camera app has stickers it can apply to detected faces

The swan loop was one of the most fun outcomes of messing around with OpenRCT2 letting you put invalid settings on rides

Okay it may be because I've been a kettle before but it's hard to look at this and not immediately think "inanimate TF"

Anyone wanna playtest my Puzzle League implementation and see how it feels compared to the real thing? I can upload a build somewhere.

Mostly I wanna nail down any final remaining differences with how chains work and having more eyes on it would probably help a bit.

Pixel arted a Nova, not 100% sure it's done but I like the head at least. Inspiration was mostly taken from the kinda small versions of characters you usually have facing each other in an action puzzle game like Puzzle League.

I wrote a simulator for my altered version of Koei's C virtual machine that would be more suitable for implementing on hardware. Maybe a small C-friendly virtual machine has its place somewhere.

Here's some bitfield stores being used to replace digits in a hex number. The bitfield instructions were the most difficult to figure out how to implement since they involved complicated masks and shifts.

Baking (and cooking in general) is really empowering to me and helps me feel more confident as an adult, if that makes any sense?

@citlali@kitty.town I finally did it 😎

Test where I made sure Tilemap Town's client can see a tile with an image ID it doesn't recognize, request the image URL corresponding to that image ID, and then finally redraw once it loads the image. In this case it's my ear.

Shrinky dinks. They really did get incredibly small after baking. You'll see bad attempts at Wario, Gwonam, Billy Mays, etc.

I'm finally commissioning some actual box art for Nova the Squirrel to knock one of the obstacles to a cartridge release out of the way. Here's a rough sketch that's making me giggle a whole bunch.

Artist: furaffinity.net/user/fluffylin

Swarm of Thwomp-like knockoffs. I figured for the Game Boy Color's smaller screen size they should hover near the player rather than hang from some place offscreen and fall, and homing in on the player helps a bit to discourage camping.

photo. Also included some non-plush stuff. I left some duplicates and childhood plushes out, but I can take a pic of those too!
